Licsw Monica Knecht

Monica Knecht, LICSW, currently serves as an Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinician at Community Connections, Inc. since September 2015. With prior experience as a Psychotherapist at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, Monica specializes in individual psychotherapy for adults facing Axis I diagnoses and co-occurring substance abuse issues, utilizing diverse treatment modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Monica's earlier roles include providing support in foster care and permanency planning with the Jewish Child Care Association of New York and assisting multidisciplinary teams at Safe Horizon to enhance responses to child abuse cases. Monica holds a Master of Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Virginia Tech.
