Cerissa Powdrill

Cerissa Powdrill has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Cerissa started their career in 1998 as a Billing Specialist at Verizon/Volt, where they efficiently managed various responsibilities related to long-distance and video conferencing. Cerissa then worked as a Database Coordinator at 7-Eleven Corporation from 2004 to 2006. Cerissa subsequently joined Hilton Reservations and Customer Care in 2006 as a Human Resource Generalist, where they handled administrative duties, employee benefit plans, FMLA, recruiting, and employee relations. Cerissa worked at Hilton until 2012. After that, Cerissa pursued a career in event planning and coordination as an Event Planner at Events with Love from 2009 to 2015. In 2015, they co-founded HopeLife: Formation of Hope, Inc, focusing on empowering underprivileged young women through mentorship, community outreach, and program development. Cerissa's most recent role was with the Community Council of Greater Dallas since 2018. Cerissa held various positions within the organization, starting as a Senior Program Analyst and then transitioning to the roles of Human Resources Payroll Administrator and Human Resources Generalist. Cerissa'sresponsibilities involved working with a wide range of programs and services, health care enrollment, workforce development, and operating a 2-1-1 Information and Referral Call Center.

Cerissa Powdrill attended Wiley College from 1997 to 2002, where they studied Business and Mass Communications. In 2008, they obtained a certification in HR Management from Collin College. The following year, in 2009, they received a certification in Wedding Planning from The University of Texas at Arlington. Additionally, Cerissa has obtained various additional certifications including HR Management, Certified Wedding and Event Planner (CWP), Harassment-free Workplace Trainer, Inappropriate Behavior in the Workplace Trainer, and Texas Food Handler, although the institutions and dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
