Dr. Alia Humaid AlQassimi is an experienced Aesthetic Gynecologist at Al Garhoud Private Hospital since June 2015, specializing in innovative surgical and non-surgical techniques while also serving as a Senior member of the European Society of Aesthetic Gynecology. In addition to this role, Dr. AlQassimi holds several positions including Social Development Expert and Acting CEO of the Social Care and Development Sector at the Community Development Authority. As a Deputy Board Member of Women for Sustainable Growth and as a VP of the Alumni Board for the UAE Chapter of RCSI, Dr. AlQassimi actively contributes to the healthcare and community development fields. With a history at Dubai Health Authority since 2000 in various capacities including Specialist Registrar and Project Manager, Dr. AlQassimi possesses deep clinical operational experience. Educational achievements include a Master's degree in Health Care Management from the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland and MRCOG qualifications in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

The Community Development Authority (CDA) was founded by a decree of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in July 2008. CDA is responsible for setting up and developing a framework for social development, and aims to achieve the goals outlined in the Dubai Strategic Plans. CDA is in charge for the overall supervision to achieve social sector outputs, and provide the provisions of social services in order to create an integrated and efficient management system for the development of social services in the emirate. This includes the preparation, execution, and supervision of comprehensive strategic plans, and proposing legislation related to social services to improve the outputs of the social development sector. The core strategic objectives of CDA’s are aimed at involving the stakeholders and enhancing the relationships with them, this includes UAE nationals and residents, government authorities, business partners and volunteers. The objectives also include fund diversifying, enhancing productivity and efficiency, excellence in operations and aligning the organisational structure to the main projects and programmes.
