Brent Alderfer began their career in 2001 with Community Energy, Inc. as an Energy Entrepreneur and Founder. Brent then progressed to become the Principal CEO and President before taking on the role of CEO and Founder in 1999. In this role, they were responsible for expanding wind energy markets in the United States. In 2006, they joined Iberdrola as an Executive Vice President.

Brent Alderfer received a Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Northeastern University between 1969 and 1974. Brent then went on to Georgetown University Law Center, where they obtained their J.D. in Law between 1974 and 1977.
