Michelle Nelson

Michelle Nelson has a diverse work experience that spans over many years. Michelle held the role of Chief Financial Officer at the Community Foundation for a greater Richmond starting in 2009. In 2015, they became an Advisory Board Member at the Virginia Impact Investing Fund and also served as the Immediate Past Board Chair at the Midlothian Family YMCA. Michelle was a Former Board Member and Treasurer at CARITAS from 2009 to 2017, which is the largest provider of homeless services in the Metro Richmond area. Before that, they were an Assistant Controller at First Market Bank from 2006 to 2009 and an Audit Supervisor at McGladrey from 2000 to 2005.

Michelle Nelson earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from James Madison University, where they studied from 1996 to 2000.
