Niamh-Áine O'Sullivan

Niamh-Áine O'Sullivan has a diverse work experience. Niamh-Áine is currently working as a Portfolio Officer at The National Lottery Community Fund since 2022.

Before that, they worked at the Govan Community Project where they held two roles. From July 2019 to July 2022, they served as an Asylum Early Intervention Worker, providing tailored advice and support to newly arrived asylum seekers in Scotland. Niamh-Áine facilitated Early Intervention Workshops and also worked as a caseworker on asylum support-related issues.

From April 2018 to July 2019, Niamh-Áine worked as a Minority Ethnic Advocacy Worker as part of the Minority Ethnic Advocacy Project (MEAP) at the Govan Community Project. Their role involved connecting vulnerable and isolated individuals with the services they require and providing them with support to understand their situation and make informed decisions. The aim was to help newly arrived asylum seekers in Glasgow from the beginning of their asylum journey, building their confidence and enabling their empowerment.

Niamh-Áine O'Sullivan completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History and Social Anthropology from Queen's University Belfast between 2012 and 2016. After that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Equality and Human Rights at the University of Glasgow from 2016 to 2017.
