Alexis Prothe is currently working as a Behavioral Health Provider at CHAS Health since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Lutheran Community Services Northwest as a Mental Health Clinician from April 2019 to August 2021. They also served as a SAFeT Mental Health Clinical Intern at the same company from January 2018 to April 2019. Before joining Lutheran Community Services Northwest, Alexis worked as an Administrative Receptionist at Spokane Therapist from May 2016 to May 2017. They also had an internship experience at The Friendship Center, where they provided support to the social work and counseling team in addressing the needs of clients who have experienced domestic and sexual violence.
Alexis Prothe's education history begins with their high school education at Joel E. Ferris High School, which they attended from 2009 to 2012. After high school, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Carroll College, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. During their time at Carroll College, they also had the opportunity to study abroad at The American University of Rome in 2015, although no degree was obtained at this institution.
After completing their undergraduate studies, Alexis Prothe continued their education at Gonzaga University, where they earned a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from 2017 to 2019.
In terms of additional certifications, Alexis Prothe has obtained several credentials. In 2014, they acquired a Human Research Certification from the National Institute of Health (NIH) Office of Extramural Research. They also completed the Gottman Couples Therapy Level 1 training through The Gottman Institute in 2017. More recently, in July 2021, they obtained both the Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential from the Washington State Department of Health and the National Certified Counselor (NCC) certification from The National Board for Certified Counselors.
