Matt Dubnicka has several years of work experience in the healthcare field. Matt started their career as an EMT at Balboa Ambulance in 2012 and worked there until 2015. Following that, they joined American Medical Response as a Paramedic, where they worked until August 2019. In 2016, they became an Instructor at Community Colleges of Spokane. Currently, Matt is working as an Urgent Care Physician Assistant at CHAS Health, starting in December 2021.
Matt Dubnicka obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences-Paramedic Care from Northern Arizona University in 2018. Prior to that, they earned an Associate's degree in Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic) from Southwestern Community College District in 2015. From 2019 to 2021, Matt attended the University of Washington - School of Medicine, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant. In terms of certifications, they received training in Urgent Care from the College of Urgent Care Medicine (CUCM) in September 2022, and became a certified Physician Assistant through the Washington State Department of Health in September 2021. Matt also obtained a certification as a Physician Assistant - Certified (PA-C) from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) in September 2021. Matt possesses various additional certifications, including ICS-100, 200, 700, and 900 from FEMA in August 2014, Advanced Cardiac Life Support from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in June 2020, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association in June 2020, and First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor from the American Heart Association in 2019. Matt has also received certifications in CDC COBRA/TERT and CDLS, obtained through FEMA and the NATIONAL DISASTER LIFE SUPPORT FOUNDATION, INC. respectively. Finally, Matt holds the NREMT-P certification from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
