Behavioral Health Provider at CHAS Health

Mirna Azar has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Mirna is currently employed as a Behavioral Health Provider at CHAS Health since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Clinical Therapist at Inland Northwest Behavioral Health from July 2020 to June 2021.

Mirna also has experience in the education sector, having served as an MSW social worker at Spokane Public Schools from January 2019 to April 2020. In this role, they were part of an interdisciplinary team, consulted with school counselors and administrators, and attended truancy board meetings.

Before their role as a social worker, Mirna worked as a Bilingual Specialist at Spokane Public Schools from August 2014 to September 2015. Mirna Azar obtained a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Jordan, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. In 2018, they pursued a Master of Social Work degree at Eastern Washington University, specializing in Social Work. Mirna completed their studies in 2020. In addition to their degrees, Mirna has obtained several certifications. In 2007, they received the International Computer Drivers License (ICDL) from UNESCO. In 2019, they obtained the Sexual Violence & Trauma Informed Care certificate from Spokane County Community Services Developmental Disabilities, the NASP PREPaRE workshop Crisis Prevention & Preparedness: Comprehensive School Safety Planning certificate from the NASP - National Association of School Psychologists, and the Authorized Medical Interpretation License from the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services.
