Tamitha Shockley French, MBA, APR has a diverse and extensive work background in communications and public policy. Tamitha is currently the Vice President of Communications & Public Policy at CHAS Health since June 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Communications at CHAS Health from October 2020 to June 2023.

Before joining CHAS Health, Tamitha worked at Eastern Washington University, where they held several positions. Tamitha was the Director of Donor Communications & Stewardship from May 2020 to October 2020. Prior to that, they were the Director of Philanthropy & Stewardship at EWU College of Health Science & Public Health from October 2017 to May 2020. In these roles, Tamitha provided strategic insight and support in areas of community outreach, partnership building, and fundraising, resulting in annual increases in fundraising for the College.

Tamitha also has experience working at Hospice of Spokane, where they were the Development & Communications Director from August 2013 to October 2017. Additionally, they worked at Inland Northwest Health Services as a Marketing & Communications Strategist from January 2007 to August 2013. In this role, they developed and implemented public relations and marketing activities for various lines of business and provided strategic counsel to executive leadership.

Earlier in their career, Tamitha worked at Desautel Hege Communications as an Account Executive from April 2004 to January 2007. Tamitha managed public relations and marketing programs for a variety of clients, including non-profit organizations, government agencies, and healthcare companies. Tamitha also had a role as a Marketing Assistant at Spokane Symphony and Fox Theater from July 2003 to January 2004, where they provided communication and fundraising support for a major capital campaign.

Throughout their career, Tamitha has demonstrated a strong track record of effective communication, strategic planning, and fundraising success. Tamitha holds an MBA and APR certification.

Tamitha Shockley French holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Eastern Washington University, which they obtained between 2018 and 2020. Prior to their MBA, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Organizational Communications & Public Relations from the same university, graduating between 1999 and 2003. In terms of certifications, Tamitha is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, obtained in April 2020, and holds the Accreditation in Public Relations (PR) from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), which they obtained in June 2009.
