Shauna Applin is an experienced healthcare professional currently serving as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Washington since September 2014, focusing on Nurse Practitioner student clinical rotations in a community health center. At Community Health Care, since October 2006, Shauna holds dual roles as Multidisciplinary Residency Faculty and HIV Specialist, overseeing direct patient care for approximately 700 patients and leading a team of 12 staff members. Additionally, Shauna is involved as a Primary Investigator for HIV Clinical Trials at the Mountain West AIDS Education and Training Center since June 2011 and has contributed as a Speaker for Gilead Sciences since 2014. Educational qualifications include a Master of Nursing specializing in Infectious Disease and Nurse Midwifery from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
