Kristina Callender is an experienced social worker currently providing psychological and social support to patients and family caregivers at Providence Hospice since April 2012. Kristina's previous roles include serving as a Blended Care Therapist at Lyra Health for a brief period in 2023, and owning a private practice called Alder Counseling from February 2011 to October 2014, where support was offered for stress, anxiety, grief, and caregiver issues. Prior to these positions, Kristina worked as a Medical Social Worker at Gentiva Health Services, assisting homebound patients in improving their quality of life, and held several positions at Advancing Opportunities, starting as Residential Coordinator and advancing to Senior Management. Kristina holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Ramapo College.
