Loren Pogir has over 25 years of experience in the financial and philanthropic sectors. Loren is currently the Director at COMMUNITY INITIATIVES, where they manage a $40M annual grant making portfolio.
Pogir began their career as a Senior Consultant with Ernst & Young in 1995, where they worked with the Health Care Strategy Group and Audit and Advisory Business Services. In 2000, they left Ernst & Young to start their own professional services firm, Loren Pogir Professional Services.
In 2002, Pogir joined Charles Schwab as the Finance Director. Loren spent three years with Schwab before moving to BlackRock in 2005, where they served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Blackrock Investment Institute. Pogir was with BlackRock for seven years before joining the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation as the Managing Director of the Patient Care Program in 2013.
