Megan Fitzgerald

Megan Fitzgerald is a Staff Writer at Community Journals since February 2023, focusing on stories for the Greenville Journal and Upstate Business Journal, particularly covering topics related to Greenville, local schools, healthcare, and nonprofits. Prior experience includes roles as an Education Reporter at The Oglethorpe Echo, where Megan reported on the Oglethorpe County School System, and a Communications Assistant at The University of Georgia, assisting with various publications for the Office of the Vice President of Instruction. Additionally, Megan contributed to the campus news at The Red & Black Publishing Co., served as a Local News Intern at The Brunswick News, and held a leadership position as Director of Academics for Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women. Educational qualifications consist of a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia, completed in December 2022.
