Community Legal Aid
Emma McEvoy, Esq. serves as a Staff Attorney at Community Legal Aid, where responsibilities include coordinating a Medical-Legal Partnership with UMass Memorial Health clinics, assisting patients with various legal issues. Previous experience includes roles as a Law Clerk at Legal Services of Greater Miami, where representation of indigent clients in the Health and Income Maintenance Unit was key, and as a Student Attorney at both the Miami-Dade Public Defender's Office and the Alaska Public Defender's Office, focusing on indigent defense. Emma's academic background includes a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law with a concentration in Social Justice and Public Interest, a Master of Science in Refugee Studies from London South Bank University, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science & Sociology from KU Leuven. Emma’s diverse experiences also feature significant roles in non-profit and governmental sectors, including service with the Peace Corps in Lesotho and internships with European institutions.
