Meghana Ravikumar

Meghana Ravikumar is an experienced paralegal at Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto since September 2017, supporting casework related to DACA, asylum, legal permanent residency, and U-visa cases. Meghana has successfully established connections with pro bono attorneys to organize DACA clinics and collaborates with the San Mateo County Coalition of Immigrant Rights to advocate for immigrant rights and influence local policies. Previously, Meghana served as a tutor for Syrian refugees at the 5C Refugee Advocacy Network and conducted research for an honors thesis on historical legal advocacy by devadasi women in 19th-century India during a position at Scripps College. Additionally, Meghana held the presidency of the Claremont Hindu Society, where event planning and budget management were key responsibilities. Meghana's early career as a teaching fellow at Breakthrough Collaborative involved developing and implementing comprehensive lesson plans for adolescents focused on writing skills. Meghana holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Scripps College.
