Laura Deeken currently serves as an Environmental Public Health Specialist with St. Charles County Government, a position held since July 2023. Previously, Laura worked as a Community Health Intern at Gateway Region YMCA, where a needs assessment for family nutrition programs across 12 counties was conducted and assistance was provided in reviewing mini grants totaling $25,000 for various YMCA locations. Earlier experience includes serving as a Contact Tracer at Lincoln County Health Department, where communication with COVID-19 contacts was initiated and vital information was documented. Additionally, Laura has over a decade of service as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy, where leadership in preventive medicine and successful management of deployment medical readiness were demonstrated. Laura is pursuing a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration at Lindenwood University, following a Bachelor's degree in Public Health from the same institution.
