Eric Huerter

Eric Huerter has a diverse work experience in the medical field. In 1999, they joined Reed Medical Group as a Physician and served in that role until 2017. During this time, they also became a Physician/Shareholder at Reed MDVIP Affiliates in 2017. In 2000, Eric became involved with Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where they served as a Member of the Board of Directors (ex-officio), Chief of Staff, Chairman of the Medical Informatics Committee, Chairman of the Education/Library Committee, Chief of Internal Medicine, and a member of the Medical Executive Committee at various points until 2015. Additionally, they have held positions as an Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center since 2017, as well as Medical Director roles at Bridge Haven Assisted Living, Community Living Opportunities, Inc. (CLO), and Pioneer Ridge Retirement Community. Eric has also been a member of various medical associations, including the Kansas Medical Society and the American College of Physicians. Eric served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Healthcare Access from 2016 to 2017.

Eric Huerter began their education at Harvard University in 1987, participating in their Secondary School Program. After completing this program, they went on to attend Boston College from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a B.S. degree in Biopsychology/Pre-med. Following their undergraduate studies, Eric attended the University of Kansas Medical Center from 1992 to 1996, earning their M.D. degree in Medicine. Eric then pursued a Residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine from 1996 to 1999.

In terms of certifications, Eric obtained their Board Certification in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine in July 1999.
