Roger Phillips

Roger Phillips is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Communications Manager at Community Medical Centers since October 2019. Previously, Roger held various positions at the Stockton Record from October 2006 to October 2019, initially as a sportswriter before transitioning to cover the education beat and later serving as the City Hall reporter. Concurrently, Roger contributed as a freelance writer for NHL.com, producing a weekly notebook and occasional feature articles. Prior to this, Roger worked as a sportswriter for the Oakland Tribune, covering the San Francisco 49ers and the San Jose Sharks, among other roles at the Suburban LA Newspaper Group and Long Beach Press-Telegram. Roger holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Northwestern University.
