Kjell Nordeson is an accomplished musician and educator with experience teaching drums and percussion at various institutions such as Santa Rosa Junior College and the San Francisco Community Music Center. As a freelance musician, Nordeson has performed in numerous music venues worldwide. With a Ph.D. in Music - Integrative Studies from UC San Diego, Nordeson also holds a MA in Integrative Studies in Music and a BA in Musicology from Stockholm University.

Founded in 1921, San Francisco’s Community Music Center (CMC) is one of the oldest and largest community arts organizations on the West Coast. CMC makes high quality music accessible to all people, regardless of financial means. Last year, CMC awarded nearly $2.4 million in tuition assistance, serving more than 3,100 students of all ages, ethnicities and income levels with music lessons, classes and other programs.
