Sin-Tung Chiu is an experienced violin instructor and musician who has worked with various prestigious institutions and organizations throughout their career. Currently, they are the Menuhin Violin Instructor and Director of the Nueva String Ensemble at The Nueva School. Prior to this, they have held positions such as Violin Instructor at the San Francisco Community Music Center and Founding Violinist at the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. With a strong educational background from institutions like The Juilliard School and Teachers College, Columbia University, Sin-Tung Chiu continues to inspire and educate aspiring violinists in both academic and community settings.

Founded in 1921, San Francisco’s Community Music Center (CMC) is one of the oldest and largest community arts organizations on the West Coast. CMC makes high quality music accessible to all people, regardless of financial means. Last year, CMC awarded nearly $2.4 million in tuition assistance, serving more than 3,100 students of all ages, ethnicities and income levels with music lessons, classes and other programs.
