John Kent

John Kent, MBA has a diverse work experience. John began their career as the owner of American Family Insurance, where they focused on providing personalized insurance products to clients. John then served as the CFO and Congregational Financial Officer at Community of Christ, where they also held the position of Associate Pastor of Support. John also worked as an Adjunct Instructor at the College of DuPage, teaching numismatics. John served as the VP of Marketing at the Arlingtones Barbershop Chorus, and also worked as the Distribution and Advertising Manager at The Chicago Flame, a student newspaper. Additionally, they briefly served as an Operations Manager at Air France.

John Kent, MBA, has a rich and diverse educational background. John obtained their MBA degree from the University of Illinois Chicago in 1991, specializing in Marketing & International Business. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in French Commercial Studies from the same institution in 1989. John started their higher education journey at Elgin Community College where they obtained an Associates degree in International Studies from 1984 to 1987.

In 1982-1983, John participated in a Rotary Exchange program at Le College du Sacre-Couer, focusing on French studies. Earlier on, they completed their general education at HHS from 1980 to 1983. Going back to their earlier years, John attended Parkwood/Larsen from 1972 to 1977, where they pursued their passion for music by studying Violin/Viola as part of the Orchestra program.

Additionally, John has an Insurance producer license, obtained in May 2015, enabling him to practice in various states including IL, IN, WI, OH, GA, IA, MO, MN, KS, MI, SD, AZ, OR, WA, FL, and CO.
