Zach Semel is an accomplished educator and literary professional with a diverse background in teaching, editing, and support roles. Currently serving as an Instructor of Record at Northern Arizona University since August 2021, Zach plans, prepares, and teaches ENG 105 courses. In addition to this role, Zach is an Editorial Intern at Black Lawrence Press, focusing on curating poems for the anthology "In the Tempered Dark," and serves as a Firecracker Awards Poetry Reader for the Community of Literary Magazines and Presses. Zach's experience includes support positions such as Behavior Support Specialist at the Compass Program at Arlington High School and Group Leader at Daybreak Day Camp. Past internships include a Writers’ Room Intern at 826 Boston and various roles in admissions at Earlham College. Zach holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Northern Arizona University and a Bachelor of Arts in English with a Creative Writing minor from Earlham College.
