Vice-president, Prevention And Youth Support at Community Partnership of the Ozarks

Chris Davis has a diverse work experience in the mental health and substance abuse prevention field. They began their career as a Coordinator/Facilitator at Safehouse, Inc. in 1993, where they worked until 1996. They then moved on to Ozark Center as a Counselor from 1996 to 1997. In 1997, they worked as a Family Therapist at Kaw Valley for a short period. They then joined Dorris & Associates in 1998 as a Clinical Director until 1999. Since 1999, Chris has been working at Community Partnership of the Ozarks, Inc. in various roles. Currently, they serve as the Vice-President, Prevention and Youth Support, where they are responsible for a variety of mental health and substance use and violence prevention contracts and services. They provide supervision, secure funding for prevention efforts, and represent the organization at local, state, and national meetings and conferences. They also liaise with multiple agencies and assist in implementing the organization's strategic plan.

Chris Davis completed their Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Pittsburg State University from 1992 to 1994. They continued their education at the same university and obtained a Master's Degree in Counseling from 1994 to 1996. Following this, they pursued further specialization in the field and earned an Ed.S. degree in Counseling from Pittsburg State University between 1996 and 1997. In addition to their formal education, Chris also holds certifications as a Certified Instructor in teen Mental Health First Aid (tMHFA), Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA), and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) from the National Council on Behavioral Health. They also have a certification as a Missouri Advanced Prevention Specialist from the Missouri Credentialing Board. The months and years of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
