Community Psychiatric Clinic
Julie Brake is an experienced vocational specialist and educator with a focus on mental health recovery and academic instruction. Since July 2012, Julie has been providing vocational services at the Community Psychiatric Clinic's Supported Employment Program, offering assistance in resume preparation, job search, and coaching to individuals recovering from mental health issues. Prior experience includes roles as an adjunct instructor at The Art Institute of Houston, the University of Houston Clear Lake, and Alvin Community College, where Julie developed course content and taught various psychology and social sciences subjects. Julie holds a Master's degree in Human Sciences with a specialization in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Sociology, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, both from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
