Pat La Plante is an experienced crisis therapist and licensed professional counselor with a diverse background in mental health and counseling services. Currently serving as a Crisis Therapist at Community Reach Center since September 2017, Pat also holds a long-standing role as a Supervising Counselor at Denver Rescue Mission since August 1991, where responsibilities include establishing a counseling department and supervising interns. In addition, Pat contributes to The Navigators as a Team Member on the People Resources Team, providing pastoral care and psychological first aid. Pat's extensive involvement in crisis intervention includes roles with Crisis Care Network and Anchor Counseling and Communications, alongside previous experience as a Chaplain and Milieu Coordinator at Eating Recovery Center. Educational qualifications include multiple master's degrees in Spiritual Formation and Counseling from Colorado Christian University and Wheaton College, supplemented by a bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal Communications from Virginia Tech.

Community Reach Center, a 501[c][3] non-profit organization, is a premier mental health provider with multiple locations in communities north of Denver, and the designated mental health provider for individuals eligible for Medicaid in Adams County. Since 1957, Community Reach Center has provided life-changing services for children, adolescents, adults and seniors. Currently the Center serves about 20,000 unduplicated clients at outpatient offices located in Brighton, Commerce City, Northglenn, Thornton and Westminster, as well as in homes, schools, physician offices and emergency rooms. The Center provides individual and group therapy for all ages, couples counseling, substance abuse treatment, play therapy, crisis intervention, emergency services, psychological testing, residential treatment, therapeutic support groups for a variety of life challenges, and more. Community Reach Center is committed to providing integrated care that addresses emotional, behavioral, and primary healthcare, in order to support the overall health and recovery of its clients to the best of its ability. Community Reach Center is a leading integrated care partner in Colorado – meaning that mental health care, primary medical care and dental services are provided in one location at dozens of clinics throughout the north Denver metro area. It is the first mental health provider in Colorado to receive accreditation for several programs from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities – an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services. In 2016, Community Reach Center was named Outstanding Non-Profit Organization by the Governor’s Service Commission, as well as best Mental Health First Aid Program by Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council.
