Community Roots Academy
Samantha Hood is an experienced educational professional currently serving as an Instructional Facilitator at Community Roots Academy since July 2023, where responsibilities include reinforcing educational and behavioral instruction. Prior roles include Office Manager at Denefits, overseeing administrative operations and office management, and various positions at Concordia University Irvine from January 2018 to March 2023, where tasks ranged from assisting departmental heads to coordinating student activities and managing alumni relations. Additional experience includes acting with Wishes Party Entertainment, serving as a Summer Worship Ministry Coordinator at Christ Church Lutheran Phoenix, and interning at summer camp programs. Samantha holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Concordia University Irvine, completed in May 2021.
Community Roots Academy
MISSION Community Roots Academy (“CRA”) is a Kindergarten through eighth grade learning community where learning is embedded in a meaningful real world context and where children are deliberately taught to see the connections between their formal education and the world. Not only do CRA students meet and exceed the California content standards, but they also are enabled as leaders now and for the future by learning to think independently, to solve problems creatively, to articulate their ideas and to work productively while collaborating with diverse people. At CRA, students learn to combine curiosity and application, leading to a deep understanding of content, self-motivation and confidence. These skill sets empower students to take on challenges to become who they want to be and excel beyond their potential.
