John Betts

John Betts has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. John currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at Community Savings since May 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Risk Officer at the same company from January to May 2022. From 2013 to 2021, John worked at Civista Bank, where they held the role of SVP Chief Risk Officer. Before that, they were President and CEO of First National Bank of Grant Park from 2009 to 2012 and also served as their Chief Financial Officer from 2007 to 2012. John started their career at Ernst & Young as a Senior Manager in 2006. John previously worked as a Corporate Controller at Centrue Bank from 2003 to 2006 and as a Manager at BKD from 1995 to 2002.

John Betts earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Eastern Illinois University from 1993 to 1995. John also obtained a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the Board of Examiners University of Illinois in 1999.
