Raz Chen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in self-defense training and instruction. Currently serving as CEO of AVIIR since April 2021, Raz leads a company that specializes in self-defense classes, primarily focused on Krav Maga. In addition, Raz works as a journalist for Black Belt Magazine, contributing articles about self-defense and conducting interviews with experts in public safety and martial arts. As a self-defense instructor at various organizations, including the Moise Safra Center and GSD Advisers Inc., Raz has developed curricula aimed at empowering students in middle and high school. Previous roles include Krav Maga instructor for CSS and senior instructor at Krav Maga Experts, where Raz taught thousands of classes. Raz holds certifications in health and physical education, as well as a 200-hour yoga teacher training.

CSS safeguards the community by training volunteers in professional security techniques, providing physical security and raising public awareness about safety issues. CSS is an apolitical, non-denominational 501C(3) organization.
