Licsw Jesse Begenyi

Jesse Begenyi, LICSW, has extensive experience in social work, particularly focusing on the LGBTQ+ community. Currently serving as an Outreach Psychotherapist at the Community Services Institute since June 2015, Jesse previously contributed as a Commission Member at the Massachusetts Commission on LGBT Youth, where advocacy for effective policies and programs for LGBT youth was a primary focus. Additional roles include Clinical Social Work Internships at Waltham House LGBTQ Group Home and FamilyAid Boston, where Jesse engaged in comprehensive client assessments and therapy. As the Director of Community Advocacy and later Interim Director at the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition, Jesse led initiatives for suicide prevention and facilitated legislative advocacy. Educational qualifications include a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Simmons College and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Emerson College.
