Chief Building Engineer at Community Specialists

Eric Miles has a diverse work experience in the field of building maintenance and construction. Eric started their career in 1998 with Strata Construction Group Ltd, where they worked on commercial construction projects, including renovations at Wrigley Field. Eric then joined capital acquisitions and development as a Maintenance Supervisor, where they oversaw apartment condominium conversion projects. In 2008, they became a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor at Greystar, managing maintenance and repairs for two properties. In 2010, they joined Village Green as a Chief Building Engineer, responsible for the operations and maintenance of a luxury high-rise in downtown Chicago. Since 2015, they have been working as a Chief Building Engineer at Community Specialists, overseeing maintenance and operations for a luxury condominium high-rise. Eric's expertise lies in building trades, maintenance repairs, and construction management.

Eric Miles has a diverse education history with a focus on Facilities Planning and Management. In 2012-2013, they attended the Union Training Facility and obtained a degree in Building Automation systems. From 2005 to 2017, Eric attended the Conner Institute and became a Certified Renovator, specializing in lead abatement. Eric then enrolled in the Environmental Technical Institute from 2010 to 2014, earning a Stationary Engineer License.

In addition to their formal education, Eric also obtained a certification in fire safety from the Chicago Fire Department in October 2017.
