David Block

David Block is an accomplished professional in the insurance industry, serving as President of Insurance Specialties, Inc. since September 1992, specializing in ancillary employee benefits, individual disability, and long-term care. In addition to leadership at Insurance Specialties, Block has held General Agent positions with multiple companies including Allied National, Assurity Life, Companion Life Insurance Company, and AIG American General since the early 2000s. Block contributes to the Disability Insurance Forums and is an active member of NAHU and NAIFA, reflecting a strong commitment to industry engagement. An Executive Board Member of Crescent Health Solutions, Block previously served as the Federal Law & Legislative Chair for the NC Association of Health Underwriters from 2012 to 2020. Educationally, Block holds a BS in Secondary Education/Math from the University of Bridgeport.
