Christian Koerwer, CAMS

Christian Koerwer, CAMS has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Currently, they serve as a Compliance Manager, AML, where they oversee compliance processes related to anti-money laundering. Prior to this, they held the role of Compliance Lead, AML, where they played a key role in implementing compliance measures. Before their promotion to a managerial position, Christian worked as an AML Associate, gaining experience in the field.

Aside from their work in compliance and anti-money laundering, Christian also has experience as a Freelance Photographer. Christian photographed over 120 concerts between 2017 and 2022, working with various venues and artists. Christian provided edited photographs to each artist within forty-eight hours of the show and covered the 2018 Sea. Hear. Now Festival for doNYC. Christian also networked with musicians and representatives from venues, labels, and publicity firms to secure photo passes and promote their photography and the bands they worked with.

Earlier in their career, Christian worked as a City Coordinator at Sofar Sounds, where they organized and coordinated events. Christian also gained valuable experience as an Associate at JPMorgan Chase & Co., handling specific responsibilities within the organization. In addition, they worked as a waiter at Bistro 14 and Barry’s Do Me A Flavor, showcasing their customer service skills. Christian also has experience as a Sailing Instructor at the Little Egg Harbor Yacht Club.

Christian Koerwer, CAMS, earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History and Economics from the University of Notre Dame, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. In November 2021, Christian obtained the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMLS) certification from ACAMS.
