James Woodland

James Woodland has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. James currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Compas, Inc., a position they have held since July 2021.

Prior to that, Woodland was a Member of the Life Sciences Angel Network (LSAN) starting from February 2012.

From March 2019 to July 2021, they worked at CMI/Compas as the Chief Strategy & Financial Officer, overseeing operations across the Media practice and core internal support functions. James was also a key member of the executive committee responsible for corporate strategy and acquisitions. Before that, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at CMI/Compas from May 2004 to March 2019.

Woodland's career started in 2003 as an Associate at SMART Business Advisory and Consulting, where they worked until May 2004.

James Woodland received their Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting from Saint Joseph's University. James then went on to pursue their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at NYU Stern School of Business, specializing in Corporate Finance and Entrepreneurship.
