Christie Connell

Christie is a Licensed Master Social Worker and Licensed Addition Counselor. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Fort Hays State University and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from The University of Kansas. Christie was born in Texas but has lived in southwest Kansas most of her life. She enjoys working with children, adolescents and adults. Christie began working with children and families in 2005 and has been working as a drug/alcohol counselor since 2014. Christie enjoys working with individuals and children and has been trained in TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention), Gender and Sexual Diversity, Affirmative Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE’s), and Drug & Alcohol treatment. Christie has two children and three grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, going to as many concerts as possible and watching the KC Chiefs.
