Chris Welles

Chris Welles is currently a Tutor at Compass Education Group since February 2022, where responsibilities include curating personalized curriculums for Middle and High School students and teaching classes. In early 2024, Chris served as a Development Intern at Dive, contributing to script coverage and researching market trends for a company known for productions like What We Do in the Shadows and Reservation Dogs. From September to December 2023, Chris worked as a Graduate Teaching Adjunct at New York University, leading discussions on art reception theories and evaluating student assignments. Previous experience includes a Literary Intern position at A3 Artists Agency, where contract editing and agent support were key duties, and serving as Executive Assistant / Production Assistant for Runway The Real Way, managing scheduling and organizing large runway events. Chris holds an MFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University and a BA in Theatre/Theater & Psychology from Northwestern University, along with additional training at the Second City Chicago and a Shakespearean Conservatory Certificate from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
