Jonathan Cheszes is an experienced leader in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as the President of Compass Greenfield Development since June 2024, overseeing the development and management of solar and battery energy storage projects in Canada. As a member of the Board of Directors at Compass Energy Consulting since July 2013, Jonathan provides strategic guidance and has held roles as President and Managing Director, focusing on solar and battery storage services that support both developers and electricity users. Prior experience includes positions at Navigant, where Jonathan served as Associate Director and Managing Consultant, and significant roles at Ontario Power Authority and Enbridge Gas Distribution. Jonathan holds a Master's degree in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency from York University and two Bachelor of Commerce degrees in Finance from McGill University.

Compass Energy Consulting (“Compass”) is a boutique management consulting firm that is focused on providing strategic, technical, financial, and development support to the renewable and clean energy marketplace throughout North America. On behalf of our clients, Compass secured over 150 sites, applied for 140 projects, and our clients were awarded 120 FIT 5 Contracts, representing over 70 MWdc in less than eight months.
