Beth Strum, CP APMP has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Beth currently serves as the Director of Business Development at Compass, Inc. since September 2020. Prior to that, they worked as an Independent Proposal Consultant from July 2018 to September 2020, providing essential proposal duties to help companies build their proposal departments from scratch.

From 2017 to 2018, Beth held key positions at Volanno, including Vice President and Director of Business Development. Beth was responsible for expanding and diversifying the business, developing and maintaining strategic relationships, and managing the internal systems and processes for business development, capture, and proposal management.

At ANSER Corporation, Beth served as the Director of Proposals from 2015 to 2017. Their responsibilities included planning, scheduling, and managing all aspects of competitive proposals, collaborating with mission area directors, and overseeing the internal systems and processes for the Proposal Division.

From 2011 to 2015, at OnPoint, Beth worked as a Senior Proposal Manager. Beth managed proposal development activities, ensured compliance with RFP requirements, and facilitated color team reviews. Beth also implemented best practices and drove continuous improvement activities.

Beth started their career at Accenture in 2007, where they held various roles including Manager - Sr. Systems Engineer, Proposal Manager, and TO and Capture Lead. Their responsibilities included providing DoDAF artifacts, supporting proposal efforts, developing capture tactics, and building relationships with clients.

Before that, Beth worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at McClendon from 2004 to 2007 and at ITT (formerly Eastman Kodak Company) from 2002 to 2004. Beth began their career as a Multi-Discipline Engineer II at Raytheon Systems Company from 1999 to 2002.

Beth Strum, CP APMP, obtained their education from several prestigious institutions. Beth earned an Advanced Certificate in International Security Policy from The George Washington University between 2006 and 2008. Prior to that, they completed an MBA in Management Science at The George Washington University School of Business from 2003 to 2006. Beth also holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, where they studied from 1998 to 1999. Beth received their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Tulane University, where they attended from 1994 to 1998. Beth completed their high school education, earning a Diploma, at The Peddie School from 1990 to 1994.

In addition to their academic background, Beth Strum has also attained various certifications. Beth obtained the Certified Scrum Master certification from Scrum Alliance in April 2018. In March 2014, they achieved the CP.APMP Practioner Level certification from APMP. Beth also holds an ITIL v3 Foundation certification from OGC, obtained in October 2007.
