Mario Polus

Mario Polus is a Senior Economist with Compass Lexecon based in Berlin and is recognized as a Future Leader in the 2025 Lexology Index for Competition Economists. With several years of experience in economic consulting, Mario has been involved in high-profile cases before international competition authorities, including the European Commission and the US Department of Justice, focusing on merger control, cartel damage, and abuse of dominance cases across various industries. Mario holds an M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics, a B.Sc. in Economics and Business Studies from the University of Konstanz, and a Postgraduate Diploma in EU Competition Law from King’s College London. Prior to this role, Mario served as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the University of Konstanz and held positions at NERA Economic Consulting and Vodafone Germany.
