Richard Thomson

Richard Thomson serves as the Financial Director at Compass Minerals since August 2017, contributing to the senior management team for the UK subsidiaries of the NYSE-listed company involved in rock-salt mining and records storage. Prior to this, Richard held multiple roles at HUSCO INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS LLP from August 2004 to July 2017, including Commercial & Operations Director and Financial Director for Europe & Asia, overseeing financial functions across the UK, India, and China. Richard began the professional career as an Assistant Manager at Begbies Traynor Group, managing trading administrations and advising asset-based lenders. Richard is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) with qualifications from ICAEW and has a Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency from the Joint Insolvency Examination Board. Additional education includes a NEBOSH health and safety degree.
