Jim Stubbs

Jim Stubbs has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, with a career spanning several companies. Jim currently serves as the CEO and President of Saddleback Exploration LLC, a position they assumed in March 2022. Prior to this, they held the same roles at Compass Production Partners, LP, starting in June 2019.

Before joining these companies, Jim worked as a Partner at Red Rocks Oil & Gas Operating LLC, where they focused on oil and gas development and production in Oklahoma. Jim also founded and served as the Managing Partner of Stubbs Oil & Gas LLC.

In addition to their entrepreneurial ventures, Jim held leadership positions at Greytone Petroleum LLC as the President from July 2015 to January 2019, and at Halcon Resources Corporation as the VP of Production from January 2012 to March 2015. At Halcon Resources, they managed operations across multiple regions and provided expertise in production and exploration.

Prior to these roles, Jim worked at Nadel and Gussman, LLC as the Chief Operating Officer from March 2002 to January 2008.

Their career began at ExxonMobil in 1983, where they held positions such as Joint Interest Coordinator and Operations Superintendent. Jim represented ExxonMobil's interests in various joint ventures and held positions of increasing responsibility in reservoir engineering, production operations, completions, and management.

Jim Stubbs attended the University of Oklahoma from 1979 to 1983, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
