Neal Schilling has worked in the biotechnology industry since 2012. From 2012 to 2016, they served as Assistant Director of Research, Director of Research, and Director of Process Development and Characterization at Heat Biologics. In this role, they were responsible for screening, developing, cloning, and banking new allogeneic cell-based vaccines, as well as supervising the scientific aspects of the manufacturing process for cell therapies at outside CMOs. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at AbbVie as Senior Scientist - CHO Cell Line Development. Neal then moved to Compass Therapeutics Inc. where they currently serve as Director - Manufacturing and Principal Scientist - Cell Line Development.
Neal Schilling obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Medicine from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth between 2006 and 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Chemistry with pharmacology emphasis from Duke University between 2002 and 2006.
