Christine MacTaylor

New England Event Volunteer Coordinator And Advocate at Compassion International

Christine MacTaylor serves as a Professor at Salem State University since September 1998, focusing on Analytical Chemistry, Service Learning, Civic Engagement, Green Chemistry, and Environmental Science. Current research explores the medicinal properties of local salt marsh plants and their endophytes. In addition to academic roles, Christine has been a New England Event Volunteer Coordinator and Advocate for Compassion International since 1996, where responsibilities include coordinating events and raising awareness about poverty and sponsorship opportunities among churches and youth groups. Christine earned a PhD in Chemistry from Penn State University (1993-1998) and a B.S. in Chemistry, with a focus on Pre-Med and Missions, from Gordon College (1986-1990).
