Jake Bender

Jake Bender has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jake currently works at Compeer Financial, where they started as a Senior Capital Markets Lending Specialist in April 2020. Jake then progressed to become an Associate Director in June 2021 and is currently serving as the Director of Capital Markets since July 2023. Prior to their current position, Jake worked at the First National Bank of Omaha as a Management Trainee from June 2017 to April 2018, and later as a Commercial Banking Credit Analyst from April 2018 to April 2020. Jake also gained experience in the financial industry as a Financial Advisor Intern at Waddell & Reed from August 2015 to May 2016. In addition, Jake had an internship at First Trust in 2016, where they worked as an Internal Wholesale & Operations Intern, contributing to projects involving CRM, TradeWiz, and gaining knowledge of different ETFs and Unit Trusts. Before entering the finance industry, Jake worked as a Sales Associate at Dick Pond Athletics Inc, where they honed their sales and customer-service skills by analyzing customers' running and walking mechanics to guide their purchases, and successfully promoting additional accessories. Prior to that, Jake was also involved in athletics as a student-athlete and track coach at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2011 to 2016.
