Jim McManus is an accomplished creative professional with extensive experience in visual storytelling and design. As the Principal at Complex Stories since January 2013, McManus focuses on transforming complex ideas into engaging narratives. Prior to this role, McManus served as Creative Director at Ab Initio for over a decade, where leadership in creative initiatives enhanced the global technology company’s identity and user experience. McManus also contributed as Creative Director at Circle.com, managing teams to develop innovative websites for notable media and industry organizations. Earlier career highlights include positions as Deputy Graphics Director at The New York Times, Art Director for Singapore Press Holdings, and a member of the award-winning graphics team at Newsweek. McManus began their career as a designer at Fortune Magazine. McManus holds a BA in Studio Art from Wesleyan University.
