David Salami

David Salami is a co-founder at Polytope Labs, focusing on trustless bridging infrastructure via The Interoperable State Machine Protocol (ISMP) since February 2023. Prior to this, David served as a blockchain engineer at Composable Finance, where responsibilities included developing trustless bridging technology through IBC and constructing the IBC pallet for substrate-based blockchains. Earlier experience includes a role as a substrate engineer at Commonwealth Labs, contributing to a cross-chain privacy bridge and a Distributed Key Generation client utilizing the BEEFY protocol. David also held frontend engineer positions at ColorElephant and GitStart, specializing in complex web user interfaces for enterprise applications using modern technologies. David holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Akure, where studies were completed from 2013 to 2018.
