Dr Faye Smith OBE is an experienced Materials Specialist currently working with the Department for Business and Trade, focusing on advanced materials for inward investment projects in the UK. With a tenure in various capacities including Northern Powerhouse Materials Specialist and Advanced Materials Specialist at the Department for International Trade, Dr Smith also serves as a Director and Consultant at Avalon Consultancy Services Ltd, and holds positions as Board Director and Vice Chairman at Composites UK. Furthermore, Dr Smith contributes as a Board Advisor and Non-Executive Director at Inductosense, is a member of the Bristol Composites Institute's Industrial Advisory Board, and has a significant background in business development and project leadership across multiple organizations, including TWI and the Royal Aeronautical Society.
