Senem Birim

Senem Birim has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Senem is currently the Founder & COO International Markets at Compport since March 2019. Prior to that, they worked as the HR & Communication Director at Sanovel İlaç from July 2020 to September 2022.

Between March 2017 and March 2019, they held the position of Executive HR & Communication Director, Takeda NEMEA Region at Takeda. Senem also worked as the HR & Communication Director Turkey at Takeda from August 2014 to March 2019.

Before joining Takeda, Senem worked as the HR Manager at Abbott Laboratories from December 2010 to August 2014. Senem gained experience in the telecom industry as the Business HR & Performance & Talent Manager at Turkcell from February 2009 to January 2011.

Their previous roles include HR Manager at Cyprus Economy Bank from June 2008 to February 2009, Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Turkcell from January 2004 to June 2008, and HR Specialist at Akbank from September 2000 to January 2004.

Senem Birim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Middle East Technical University, which they completed from 1996 to 2000. In 2015, they participated in the Leadership Development Program at INSEAD. Additionally, in 2013, they completed the Leading Innovation Program at IESE Business School. In 2017, they furthered their education by completing the Emerging Markets Leadership Development program at INSEAD. Senem Birim also holds certifications, including the Co-active Training Institute (CTI) Certification Program from the Co-Active Training Institute, which they obtained in November 2019. Senem also completed the AIM Change Management certification from Implementation Management Associates (IMA) in July 2016. In February 2013, they completed the Co-active Training Institute (CTI) Coaching Training Program at the Co-Active Training Institute.
