Senem Birim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Middle East Technical University, which they completed from 1996 to 2000. In 2015, they participated in the Leadership Development Program at INSEAD. Additionally, in 2013, they completed the Leading Innovation Program at IESE Business School. In 2017, they furthered their education by completing the Emerging Markets Leadership Development program at INSEAD. Senem Birim also holds certifications, including the Co-active Training Institute (CTI) Certification Program from the Co-Active Training Institute, which they obtained in November 2019. Senem also completed the AIM Change Management certification from Implementation Management Associates (IMA) in July 2016. In February 2013, they completed the Co-active Training Institute (CTI) Coaching Training Program at the Co-Active Training Institute.
