Vivian Sauer has extensive work experience in various social work roles. Vivian worked at Comprehensive Community Health Centers from November 2018, where they served as a Consultant for Behavioral Health Services. Their responsibilities included expanding the social work internship program, supporting the primary care-behavioral health integration initiative, and developing a network of mental health and substance use providers.
Vivian also worked at The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles as the Director of Critical Supports for Holocaust Survivors starting in March 2019.
Prior to that, they had their own consultancy firm called V Sauer Associates, where they worked as a Consultant from June 2016.
From July 2014 to June 2016, Vivian worked at Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles as the Director of Program Development. In this role, they led initiatives to develop integrated program and service delivery, oversaw agency quality assurance, and developed strategic partnerships.
Before that, they held the position of Associate Executive Director/Chief Program Officer at Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles from July 2000 to July 2014. Some of their accomplishments include securing and directing implementation of new Federal and County funding, overseeing program funding growth, and providing executive-level supervision.
Vivian's earlier work experience includes being the Director of Adult and Children Services at Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles from October 1997 to June 2000, and the Director of West Hollywood Senior Center from December 1987 to September 1997. In these roles, they oversaw various programs and services, managed contracts, and supervised staff and volunteers.
Vivian Sauer holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Hunter College. Vivian then pursued a Master's Degree in Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work. In addition, Vivian is a licensed clinical social worker, having completed the necessary requirements from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
