Luis Fernando Varela Eleta

Luis Fernando Varela Eleta is the Head of Engineering at Comun, focusing on empowering Latinos in the US since February 2022. Previously, Luis served as a Founding Engineer and Senior Software Engineer at Brex, contributing to ecommerce solutions and building instant revenue capabilities. Luis's early career includes roles as a Software Engineer at various companies, including TiVo, Google, and Datum, where responsibilities ranged from developing voice command services to working on data exchange initiatives. Luis co-founded InterCopa, a soccer tournament, and gained experience through internships at Lazard and BancoPanamá. Academically, Luis holds a Master of Science in Management Science & Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University, complemented by a finance program at LSE.
